How It Started!
Lisa was 7 months old when her Grandfather, former Arsenal and England footballer Don Roper, sat her on a pony. Little did Don know what he had started; from that moment on Lisa never gave up wanting her own horses.
Lisa never had horsy parents but her drive and determination to own her own horse took 21 years
to become a reality, when her parents bought her first horse Ricky.
Lisa and Ricky learnt together, quite often the hard way, and competed up to Intermediate Level Eventing.

It was in 1987 that Lisa began breeding her own horses in a project with showjumper Tim Davies and his father.
The list of horses that emerged from that project is impressive across the disciplines of showjumping and eventing and include:
Qusop who won Addington Young Horse Championships as a 5 year old and was 6th
in the Grade C Final at Horse of The Year Show.
Quedos, who qualified for Burgley Young Event Horse final as a 5 year old.
Quackers who was 3rd at Blenheim
Zanoubia who won Hickstead Speed Derby with Cian O’Connor.
Quixotic who won Young Rider European Gold Medal with Eventer Lauren Shannon.
Querida who successfully competed with Sharon Hunt.
Lisa now works with Showjumper Stuart Harvey and is part of his team producing Young Horses. Stuart and Lisa also manage Ridgeway Farm Stud in Surrey for Becky Stones where her breeding programme for her stallion Peppermill is carried out.
